BSX
Boston Scientific - $7.09
- 0.00%
- $N/A
7:30 up 18% from the last conference, t/a support is 5.40ish and upper support is 15.28 but shortterm it is hitting a group of Fibo Moving Averages on the daily chart that is pretty hard resistance at 9.25-9.75 but if it can take that resistance out it has minor resistance at 11.72ish. (Will hope to listen to recorded presentation later)(notes from last year, Boston Scientific is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices whose products are used in a broad range of interventional medical specialties..per Zacks..Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE: BSX - News) competes in the cardiovascular, endosurgery and neuromodulation markets. All three segments are experiencing strong sales growth and should remain relatively insulated from the current economic crisis. Related Quotes Symbol Price Change ABT 52.32 +3.12 BSX 7.88 +0.36 {"s" : "abt, bsx","k" : "c10,l10,p20,t10","o" : "","j" : ""} BSX has historically grown through acquisition, which has led to earnings-quality concerns. Recent positive news on stents will bode well. Trial results for Abbott Labs' (NYSE: ABT - News) XIENCE stent, which BSX markets under a private label, were positive. And, BSX received U.S. approval to market its TAXUS Liberte and Express2 stents. We believe management will raise guidance adjusted for recent litigation losses. We are comfortable applying the comparable P/E/G average of 1.1 when using adjusted earnings per share, equating to a FY2008 multiple of 17.6x 2008 adjusted EPS, or a target price of $9.85. We maintain our Buy recommendation based upon valuation and expectations of improving fundamentals.)

-
AMGN
Amgen Inc. - $57.42
- +0.93%
- $57.25
8:00 is up 14% from last conference, t/a take is that it needs to stay a support 57.54ish which is the 38.20% off of 2005 high and 2008 low...resistance is the very hard 50% retrace at 63.11ish...would not enter until it cleared that resistance..at that level on the weekly chart for 3 years it also has 2 fibo moving averages too that it has to take out close to that resistance...if it can break out at that point is should do ok...(notes from last year, My note..Amgn they talked about a really cool bone density UC Davis...nothing else I can tell that was a major thing to take note of... ,heck this stock has held up so well this past year..but it didn't even get a pop when it announced it was sending a Biological License Application (BLA) for denosumab to the Food and Drug Administration on Dec. 19. Denosumab is a drug made from organic material rather than chemicals. It's intended to treat or prevent osteoporosis. So maybe with the Press eyes on it..maybe a small pop...plus CEO could make some announcement over something like he did last years JPMorgan..one to watch cause this is the second biggest bio next to DNA.)

A. NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Build
America Bonds program, which subsidizes
municipalities issuing taxable debt,
will expand modestly as part of the jobs
bill sent to President Barack Obama on
Wednesday, leaving up in the air whether
the program will extend beyond this
year.
Launched as part of last year's stimulus
bill, the program has allowed issuers of
tax-exempt debt -- mainly states and
local municipalities -- to sell taxable
bonds under the Build America program
and get reimbursed a portion of the
extra yield by the federal government.
The ability to sell taxable bonds, with
a subsidy, has given issuers access to
the much bigger, broader corporate bond
market, as well as groups of investors
who wouldn't normally consider
tax-exempt munis - namely pension funds
and overseas investors.
